MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Turkish armed forces shelled the settlement of Dikmedase in northwestern Syria on March 4, the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation said in a newsletter published Saturday.
A US-Russia-brokered ceasefire came into force on February 27 across Syria. It was supported by Damascus and dozens of opposition groups on the ground. The Islamic State and the Nusra Front (both outlawed in Russia) are not part of the deal.
"Once again Syria's territory has been shelled by the Turkish Armed Forces. On March 4, 2016, at 16:00 [14.00 GMT] Turkish tanks from the territory near the [Turkish] town of Akcabaglar shelled the settlement of Dikmedase (Idlib province)," the newsletter published on the website of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
