BEIRUT (Sputnik) – On Wednesday, the six-member CCASG, which includes Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman, labeled Hezbollah a terrorist organization.
"Syria strongly condemns the decision of the Gulf Cooperation Council to consider the Hezbollah party a terrorist one, which is a reflection of the misguided policies of Saudi Arabia," the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Hezbollah, a paramilitary and political organization originating in Lebanon's Shiite population, was established in the 1980s. The group has been fighting alongside the Syrian government against the IS Sunni radicals and other extremist militant groups since 2011.
Hezbollah is considered a terrorist organization by a number of countries including Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and many European states, but not by Russia.

| 0 | Edit | Delete I do not see as logic how undemocratic states can tell to a democratic party that it is a terrorist organization??? Where the saudi can tell us in the world that they have seen a terrorist group taking part in a parliament session ? that never happened. So, Hezbollah is no way a terrorist, instead a political entity leading a fight for the integrity of its country in order to be totally independent , self sufficient. Can the us and its allies help saudi understand what is a political party because they are mixing it to terrorism???? they don't know because they don't have democracy in their country nor human right. Despite all of that, the us and west continue taking saudi's oil money ignoring their undemocratic state and human right violation. Reply
