LATAKIA (Sputnik) — Officers at the Russian center on Syria reconciliation exchange information on the implementation of a ceasefire regime in the war-torn country with their US colleagues from the similar center based in Jordan every two hours, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday.
"Practically every two hours, our officers at the National Reconciliation Center at the Hmeimim airbase exchange information with colleagues from the US center in [the Jordanian capital] Amman. The sides maintain professional contacts, its a professional work," Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told reporters.
