Death Toll in US Airstrike in Libya Reaches 49
The death toll as a result of a recent US airstrike in Libya has reached 49 people, media reported, citing officials.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The US airstrike targeted a terrorist training camp in the northwestern Libyan town of Sabratah on Friday.
According to CNN, Mayor of Sabratah Hussain Thawadi said the airstrike had left at least 49 people killed.

Six people were wounded in the airstrike, the broadcaster reported, citing the Sabratah Municipal Council.
On Saturday, Serbian authorities confirmed that two Serbian diplomats kidnapped in November had been among those killed by US forces in Libya.
The Pentagon in turn has said it cannot confirm that the Serbian hostages in Libya were killed as a result of the US airstrike.
