BEIRUT (Sputnik) – Syrian government forces have regained control over the heating power plant in the northwestern province of Aleppo, a military source told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
"The army fought off the plant form the terrorists in the Neir al-Hosn settlement. A dirt road adjoining the plant and a number of villages in the industrial zone have been cleared," the unnamed source said.
The liberated plant was one of two stations providing power to the city of Aleppo. To date, the largest Syrian city relied on generators and gasoline tankers for power.
