Will The Saudis And Turks Really Invade Syria?
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The top Turkish diplomat added that up to 55,000 Syrian nationals are expected to reach the Syrian-Turkish border in the coming days.

"We still keep this open border policy for these people fleeing from the aggression of the [Syrian] regime, as well as airstrikes of Russia," Cavusoglu told reporters in Amsterdam after a two-day informal meeting of EU foreign ministers.

The stances of Russia and Turkey on the fate of Syria, which has been in the state of civil war since 2011, greatly differ. Ankara has been supporting the Syrian opposition aiming to oust President Bashar Assad, while Russia sees Assad as the legitimate authority in the country and supports Damascus in the fight against terrorists.

On September 30, 2015, Russia launched an aerial campaign against terrorists in Syria at the request of President Bashar Assad.
