An Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry source said no EgyptAir employee had been arrested on suspicion of participating in the A321 terrorist attack over the Sinai Peninsula.

CAIRO (Sputnik) — A source in Egypt's Civil Aviation Ministry dismissed recent reports on Friday that an EgyptAir employee had been detained on suspicion of involvement in the Russian plane crash in Sinai.

"No one from EgyptAir has been arrested over this case, we have not heard of any suspects either," the source told RIA Novosti.

Earlier in the day, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that an EgyptAir mechanic and three others were suspected of planting a bomb on the Russian airliner in October 2015.
