MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The UK embassy in Istanbul does not have any information regarding British victims of the blast in the Turkish city, the embassy’s press office told Sputnik on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, a blast shook Istanbul’s central square, killing several people, according to the local media.
"Not yet we don’t have any info," a spokesperson of the UK embassy said.
According to media reports, an explosive device may have been detonated by a suicide bomber. Media reports claimed that Germans and South Koreans were among the people injured by the explosions.
