Syrian warplanes bombed militant positions in the city of Douma, located 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) to the north-east of the capital. The SAA is also said to have shelled terrorists in Jibar, a suburb of Damascus.

The Syrian Armed Forces killed a senior militant leader, Abdul Rahman al-Yaski, and took several buildings under control in al-Fosul al-Arba'a area in Darayya, lying 8 kilometers (5 miles) to the south-west of Damascus.
The government forces are also believed to have destroyed militant fortifications in an area located between al-Marj and al-Nashabia in the suburb of Ghouta in Damascus.
