Central Turkey Rocked by 4.9 Magnitude Earthquake – USGS

A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck early Sunday the central part of Turkey, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Tremors were registered at 2:28 a.m. local time [00:28 GMT].

​The epicenter was located about 10 miles northwest of the Turkish city of Hekimhan at the depth of 6 miles.

​No information about the damage or casualties was immediately available.
