Two missiles struck the entrance of the makeshift MSF-supported hospital in the area, just as seven wounded people arrived for urgent treatment, the organization said.
“With two talented medics very seriously wounded, the number of medics available for these besieged communities, under a torrent of bombs, has shrunk even further," the MSF cited its director of operations, Brice de le Vingne.
Two people were killed and six were injured in the strike, according to the MSF. The hospital building and one ambulance were also damaged, the statement said.
Syria has been mired in a civil war since 2011. The conflict between government forces and rebels, exacerbated by jihadist groups active in the region, has killed some 230,000 and forced over four million Syrians to flee the country, primarily to neighboring states and Europe.
