Scores of suspected Islamic State (ISIL) jihadist group members and sympathizers were reportedly detained across the southern Antalya province late last week. Kalin said measures to eliminate security concerns surrounding the summit are continuing.

"All necessary measures are taken to ensure the security of such an event, ranging from cybersecurity and ending with physical security. Not just in Belek, where the summit will take place, but in all surrounding areas," the press secretary stressed.

Turkey is due to host the 10th G20 Leaders Summit, a leading international cooperation forum representing 85 percent of global GDP and over 75 percent of global trade.
