RT Files Complaint With Israel Police Over Attack on Journalists

On Sunday, RT said that the Israeli army servicemen attacked the channel's camera crew in Jerusalem, damaging their camera and forbidding them to film despite both cameraman and reporter having the required accreditation. The incident took place while journalists filmed clashes between police and Arab citizens during the Jerusalem Day celebrations.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — RT TV channel has filed an official complaint with the police of Israel seeking explanation for a Sunday attack in Jerusalem by Israeli Army servicemen on the channel's reporters, RT press service said Tuesday.

"In the letter to the Inspector General of the Israel Police, Yohanan Danino, RT requests to explain the reasons behind the Jerusalem law enforcers' attack against the channel's employees," RT said in the press release.

RT also seeks compensation for broken equipment.
