The Houthi Supreme Revolutionary Committee said the resolution provided support to Saudi Arabian aggression in Yemen, according to Al Massira TV channel.
On Tuesday the UN Security Council passed a resolution imposing an arms embargo on the Houthis and other forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, allied against the President-in-exile Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
The resolution, put forward by Jordan, the United Kingdom and the United States, was passed by 14 votes. Russia abstained from voting.
Yemen has been in turmoil since the Houthi militant group seized large areas in several locations across the country, including the capital Sanaa, forcing Hadi to flee the country.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf countries began firing air-to-ground missiles at Houthi positions in Yemen upon Hadi's request. According to UN data, over 700 people have been killed and 2,700 wounded, most of them civilians, in the fighting.
