The Islamic State terror group executed 300 civilians from the province of Anbar for their collaboration with Iraqi security forces on Thursday, Iraqi media reported.
The executions took place west of the province in Qaim district. The victims were members of the tribes of Karbala, Albu Mahal and Salman, according to an Anbar official.
On April 8, Iraqi forces launched a military operation to liberate the country’s western Anbar province under ISIL control. According to head of the Provincial Council Sabah Karhout, two areas have so far been set free with dozens of ISIL terrorists killed or injured.
