Four Egyptian navy warships entered the Suez Canal on Thursday en route to the Gulf of Aden after the Egyptian government pledged military support for a Saudi-led offensive against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The vessels will participate in military operations to maintain security in the strategic waters that control southern access to the waterway.
