The military operation, known as Firmness Storm, is aimed at assisting Yemen's legitimate government and preventing Houthi militias from assuming full control of the country, Saudi Arabia ambassador to the United States said.
Ten countries take part in the campaign against Houthis, including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Earlier on Thursday, Egypt confirmed that it will take part in the Saudi-led military operation in Yemen.
