MOSCOW, January 25 (Sputnik) – Several people were reportedly wounded on Sunday when Houthi militants fired warning shots to disperse a crowd of protesters who had rallied against the Shiite group, which currently controls the country's capital Sanaa, AFP reports.
Several more demonstrators have been arrested by the militiamen, the agency quotes one of the witnesses as saying.
The militiamen reportedly also attacked journalists and smashed their cameras.
More people took to the streets on Sunday to protest the group and urge Yemen's former President Hadi, who resigned on Thursday due to Houthi pressure, to
"impose the authority of the state" in the face of the tightening grip of the Houthi militants who are currently in power.
