Attack on Police Station in Venezuela Leaves 1 Officer Dead, 25 Injured

One police officer died and 25 more sustained injuries in assault on police station in the Venezuelan state of Portuguesa, local media reported on Friday.

MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) — Two criminals approached the police station in the town of Guanare and bombed it with grenades, Noticias24 reported, citing state governor Reinaldo Castaneda.

One suspect was killed as police opened fire, Castaneda said, as quoted by the media outlet, condemning the assault as a terror attack.
