US Mounting Efforts to Undermine Venezuela’s Sovereignty?
CARACAS (Sputnik) On Monday, US State Secretary John Kerry criticized the alleged lack of international observers at the forthcoming December election, calling Venezuela an "imperfect democracy, and said the voting procedure would demonstrate "what sort of democracy" Venezuela was.

"In the vicinity of the electoral process, the United States intensified pressure and attacks to show that in our country there are no autonomous powers, undermining the Bolivarian Revolution," Rodriguez, leading the Venezuelan group in the Latin American Parliament, told Sputnik on Tuesday.

He added that Washington would continue to discredit Venezuela as a country "where the laws and human rights are neglected, that supports drug cartels or causes problems to neighbors on the borders."

The controversy around the election in Venezuela started after the country excluded the Organization of American States (OAS) and the European Union as observers for the election on December 6.
