Peru Bus Crash Leaves At Least 15 Killed
03:03 GMT 02.07.2015 (Updated: 10:21 GMT 27.07.2015) The bus, en route from Lima to Llata, fell into the abyss. According to the regional health authorities, 15 bodies have been founded dead on-site, with the death toll most likely to climb.
At least 15 people were killed and 19 were injured when the bus tumbled 700 metres down the side of a mountain slope in the central part of Peru, reports IANS.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. local time at a remote road, a local policeman said. There is no information yet about the number of passengers the bus carried.
The representative of the regional health authorities Cesar Fallak told local radio that the accident site found 15 bodies, but "apparently there are more victims."
It was reported about the four injured, who are in serious condition have been taken to a hospital. Accident details have not been specified.
