MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A 5.2-magnitude earthquake has hit the Barranca province in the Lima Region of Peru, the Geophysical Institute of Peru (GIP) said on Wednesday.
The epicenter was at an approximate depth of 28.5 miles, according to the GIP.
The quake was felt in the Peruvian capital Lima for about 30 seconds, causing buildings to shake, local media reported.
There are no immediate reports on deaths or injuries.
