The Mexico's president Enrique Pena Nieto claims that Mexico's government accepts responsibility for the disappearance of 43 students in the city of Iguala and it will not rest until justice prevails.

MEXICO CITY, November 8 (RIA Novosti) – Mexico's government accepts responsibility for the disappearance of 43 students in the city of Iguala, the country's president, Enrique Pena Nieto, has said.

"To the parents of the missing young men and to the society I say that we will not rest until justice prevails, the investigation will be carried through to the very end," Nieto said Friday.

Also on Friday, Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam said that the suspects, detained over the students" disappearance, confessed to having killed over 40 young men, burning them and tossing the bodies in a river.

Karam warned that it would be difficult to identify the charred remains and that authorities will continue to consider the students as missing until DNA tests confirm the identities.

On September 26, a group of policemen, accompanied by unidentified armed people, cracked down on students in Iguala, who were protesting against educational reforms. Six people were killed and 17 were injured as a result of the violence. Fifty-seven students went missing, with 14 having since returned home.
