"At the moment, there is no reason to extend the term. Chaos in the United Kingdom has not changed", Kurz told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
Kurz added that it could not be ruled out that the situation would change and a new assessment of the situation be required.

Vienna appreciates the efforts of UK Prime Minister Theresa May to prevent the country from leaving the European Union without an agreement, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said on Wednesday.
"I am very positive about the fact that Theresa May is still trying to do everything to prevent a scenario without an agreement. We think this is the right way. A 'hard' Brexit, specifically non-agreement scenario, would be bad not only for the UK but also for the EU," Kurz told reporters after a government meeting.
The Austrian Chancellor expressed hope that the UK lawmakers would accept the proposal of May and prevent the "hard" Brexit.
On Tuesday, May said that London would ask Brussels to further extend the deadline for Brexit to give the UK government more time to pass the divorce deal.
The European Union has given London until 12 April to either come up with an alternative solution or leave without a deal on that day.
European Chief Negotiator for the United Kingdom Exiting the European Union Michel Barnier, for his part, has said that London would have to provide Brussels with sufficient reason if it wanted another extension.
