Earlier it was reported that Barcelona police has identified the perpetrator behind the deadly car attack.
El Pais, one of the largest newspapers in Spain, has published a report alleging that the van used in the attack was rented by a man called Driss Oukabir.
Shortly after that, local media reported that the suspect is arrested. The information is not confirmed by police yet.

Earlier in the day a van hit pedestrians in Barcelona’s central Ramblas area. The Catalonia’s police said that one person was killed and 32 were injured, including 10 seriously, in the incident which was confirmed to be a terrorist attack. Catalonia’s police said on its Twitter account that the incident was of terrorist nature.
