EU Commission Threatens Poland's Bloc Voting Rights Over Judicial Reforms
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Polish government spokesman Rafal Bochenek called on Wednesday the EU statements over the country’s judicial reforms blackmail.

Earlier in the day, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that if Warsaw went ahead with its controversial judicial reforms, the bloc would have no other choice than to trigger Article 7, a move that could lead to Poland’s voting rights being suspended.

"We do not agree to any blackmail by the EU officials, including blackmail which is not backed up by facts. All laws prepared by the Polish parliament are in correspondence with the Polish constitution and the basis of democracy," Bochenek told the PAP news agency.

The European Commission (EC) could suspend Poland's European Union voting rights if Warsaw goes ahead with its controversial judicial reforms.
