A second shooting has also been reported at Marienplatnz Station, along with Twitter posts about shots heard at Isartor station near the city's center. But these have not been confirmed.
German newspapers have confirmed that at least one of the shooters has committed suicide, and authorities are saying it's highly likely that there is only one shooter. The hashtag, #Offenetür, translates to "Open Door".
