MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Thursday, the United Kingdom held a referendum to determine whether or not the country should leave the European Union. According to the final results, 51.9 percent of voters, or 17.4 million people, decided to support Brexit, while about 16.1 million opposed it.
"That this PLP has no confidence in Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party [PLP]," the letter, circulated in the media, read.
The motion calls for the discussion at the next meeting on Monday.
The Labour leader said that he was going door to door calling on his compatriots to vote for staying in the European Union in the ongoing Brexit referendum.
