A man who admitted to scaling the British queen’s residence last week was revealed to be on probation for murder, according to a court hearing.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Dennis Hennessy, 41, pleaded guilty to trespassing at the Buckingham Palace after climbing its perimeter wall late Wednesday and triggering an alarm.

The Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard that Hennessy was "on license," or released on parole, after being convicted of a murder of a homeless man in 1992, London’s Metro tabloid reported.

Hennessy told police he "walked through the gardens admiring the view" for 10 minutes and asked "is Ma’am in?" on numerous occasions during his detention.

Queen Elizabeth II was in residence with the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of York at the time of the trespassing.
