“[Yanukovych] has not changed his citizenship and remains a Ukrainian citizen, and he has not received Russian citizenship,” Serdyuk said during a press conference in Kiev.
The lawyer for the former Ukrainian President said that a court in Kiev has agreed to turn to Russia with a request to allow questioning via a video conference with the ex-leader, Yanukovych’s lawyer, Vitaly Serdyuk said Wednesday.
“The Svyatoshinsky Court [in Kiev] has approved of the questioning of Yanukovych via a video conference and the court has made the corresponding decision to turn to the Ukrainian Justice Ministry with the appropriate request, which in its turn will address the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in order to organize questioning via a video conference,” Serdyuk said during a press conference in Kiev.
