MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A young man stabbed four passengers early Tuesday at Grafing railway station in the southern German city of Munich, German media report.

The knife attack occurred around 5 am local time. "Shortly after the incident, the attacker was arrested," a police spokesman told Bild.
Mayor Angelika Obermayr described the Islamist suspect as a '27-year-old German man'.

The attacker stabbed one person to death and injured at least three others.
“One person died, three were wounded. That’s the only fact we have at the moment,” a Bavarian criminal police spokeswoman told Sputnik.

According to various German and foreign news agencies, the number of victims from the stabbing attack is between four and five.
Several witnesses claimed that the attacker shouted "Allahu Akbar," which is "god is great" in Arabic, Bayerischer Rundfunk said. It added police were checking this report.
