MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Andrzej Duda, who started a four-day visit to Canada on Monday, said he was counting on stronger military cooperation between Canada and Poland.
"I hope that there will also be an increased presence of Canadian troops stationed in Poland, more than now," the president said, as quoted by the national news agency PAP.
On Tuesday, Duda is scheduled to meet with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for talks that will focus on stepping up NATO presence on the eastern border and the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw.
