Georgian security officers apprehended a group of men with uranium which they had intended to sell for $3 million.

TBILISI (Sputnik) – Georgian Security Forces have detained a group of individuals suspected of attempting to sell uranium worth $3 million, the institution’s counter-intelligence department said Thursday.

“The individuals were detained when they were transporting the radioactive material into an apartment in the village of Kobuleti. The detainees planned to sell the uranium for $3 million,” a department spokesman said at a press conference.
