BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – Earlier on Friday, Galant resigned from the office following media reports that the transport minister was aware of insufficient security at Belgian airports prior to the March 22 terror attacks but failed to notify the cabinet of ministers on the issue.
"We have no comments on the changes in national governments… We have also no comments on leaked documents," the spokesman said.
In late March, two suicide blasts ripped through the departure hall of the airport in Brussels' northeastern municipality of Zaventem while another explosion hit the Maelbeek metro station near the headquarters of the EU institutions in Brussels, killing over 30 people and injuring at least 300.
