Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said that Daesh terrorist group must be destroyed and refused the merit of being called a state.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Islamic State (Daesh) terrorist group must be destroyed and refused the merit of being called a state, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said.

"We must react. Of course, by destroying them (including by military action, where it is necessary and possible). But war is being waged by sovereign states, while terrorism is practiced by ruthless and dangerous cells that do not deserve to be considered as sovereign states. They want to be called the Islamic State, but we call them Daesh," Renzi said in an enews note to members of the Democratic Party chaired by him.

The prime minister's statement comes after blasts took place in the departure hall of the Brussels Zaventem international airport on Tuesday. Another explosion took place at the Maelbeek metro station near the European Union institutions. Thirty-one people were killed and more than 300 were injured in the attacks. The responsibility for the attacks was claimed by Daesh, which is outlawed in many countries, including Russia and the United States.

Italy has been active in the international anti-Daesh coalition in Iraq, gradually boosting its military presence in the country. On Thursday, Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti stated that Italy will increase its military presence in Iraq by 130 soldiers and send extra 500 troops to protect the fortification of the Mosul dam.

So far, Italy has not taken part in military operations against Daesh in Syria.

On Friday, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said that Italy is not preparing any military operations in Libya.

No no, Daesh is supposed to be deflated, defoliated, defibrillated, debated . . . not wiped out. Their state sponsors need them for later on.

Let me guess, Renzi thinks that will take stealing land from Syria for "buffer zones" that protect ISIL supply routes and a "no-fly zone" to try to stop Syrian Army success by removing air support for those who are fighting terrorists.

it is impossible that baby renzi does not know that ISIS is US creation...and NATO of which Italy is part.

Well isn't that special. Well go ahead and try, let me know how you make out. While your at it make gravity reverse, stop world hunger and have feathers grown out your arse. Each one of those would be as impossible as your statement.
