MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The United States is ready to provide Belgium with any help necessary in investigating the terrorist attacks in Brussels, US State Secretary John Kerry said Friday.
"The United States stands firmly with Belgium and with the nations of Europe in the face of this tragedy… And we will continue to provide any assistance necessary in investigating these heinous acts of terrorism and bringing those responsible to justice," Kerry told a press conference with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.
Kerry visited Brussels in the wake of Tuesday's terrorist attacks that left at least 31 people and some 300 injured in two bomb blasts in Brussels' Zaventem airport and an explosion at a metro station in the city center. Daesh jihadist group, outlawed in many countries, including Russia and the United State, has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
Several US citizens died in the attacks, according to Michel.
