PARIS (Sputnik) — Salah Abdeslam, who was detained in Belgium last week on suspicion of involvement in the November 2015 Paris attacks, calls to be hastily extradited to France, his lawyer said Thursday.

"Salah Abdelslam wishes to be extradited to France as soon as possible," Sven Mary told reporters.

Mary said he hoped this could happen "as soon as possible", adding that Abdeslam "wants to explain himself in France".
