Brussels has been hit by a third blast, shortly after two explosions rocked the city's Zaventem Airport.

At least 15 people were killed in Tuesday's explosion at the Maalbeek metro station in central Brussels, Belgium's Het Nieuwsblad reported citing police. People evacuated after the station filled with smoke, according to eyewitnesses.

The Belgian Interior Ministry's anti-crisis center on Tuesday urged all residents and visitors of the Belgian capital to stay where they are in the wake of the blasts that shook a Brussels airport and two metro stations in the city.
"All public transport in Brussels is suspended. Metro and train stations are closed. Stay where you are," the center said on Twitter.

The Eurostar train traffic has been suspended in Brussels following several explosions that hit the Belgian capital earlier in the day, the company told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"No trains are currently running to or from Brussels Midi. Brussels customers are advised to postpone, and not come to station," the company said.
"Eurostar service from London to Brussels has been suspended until further notice. What we are planning to do is to be to run a train from London to Lille, which is on the same route."

Similar measures have also been taken in Germany, with the country’s national rail operator Deutsche Bahn cancelling all train services from Germany to Brussels.
Security services evacuated Brussels-South railway station on Tuesday after the the morning explosions in Brussels airport and metro, a RIA Novosti corespondent reported.
The evacuation was announced through the loudspeakers. People began to leave for the square in front of the station but were asked to avoid that area as well.
Shortly after the airport blasts, explosions were also reported at the Maalbeek and Schuman metro stations in the Brussels city center.
The blasts in Brussels come just days after Salah Abdeslam, the mastermind behind the November Paris Attacks, was arrested in Belgium.
