LONDON (Sputnik) – Speaking on Saturday in Hamburg, Cameron called on the European Union to remain united in a world where "Russia is invading Ukraine and a rogue nation like North Korea is testing nuclear weapons."
"Disappointing to see @David_Cameron accusing Russia of invading Ukraine and comparing it to N.Korea," the embassy said on its Twitter account.
In January, Pyongyang declared that it had successfully carried out a hydrogen bomb test, triggering condemnation from the international community.
The West has accused Moscow of fomenting unrest in Ukraine, particularly after Crimea's reunification with Russia in March 2014 following a referendum, in which a majority of people voted for rejoining Russia. The Kremlin has firmly denied sending troops to Ukraine, and stressed that all of its actions were in accordance with international law.
