MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union is currently struggling to cope with a massive refugee crisis, with hundreds of thousands of people fleeing conflict-torn countries in the Middle East and North Africa searching for safety and refuge in the bloc.
"We have to solve problems and greatly reduce the influx of refugees. We will need a lot more money for this," Schaeuble said at a press briefing in Brussels, calling for better protection of EU's external borders.
Schaeuble stressed the need to reduce the inflow of migrants from Africa and Asia, and to quickly integrate into the European community those who have already arrived.
