MOSCOW (Sputnik) — French intelligence services believe that fugitive Salah Abdeslam, who is suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in Paris, has managed to flee to Syria, CNN reported Monday citing sources close to the investigation.
A series of coordinated attacks at various locations in Paris killed some 130 people and injured over 360 others on November 13.
Earlier reports indicated that Belgian-born Abdeslam had traveled to Belgium following the attacks, staying in the Schaarbeek commune of Brussels before fleeing to Syria, aided by supporters.
