BERLIN (Sputnik) — A 34-year-old man arrested in Germany on suspicion of supplying arms to the November 13 Paris attackers is said to have modified pneumatic weapons to function as firearms, local media reported, citing a spokeswoman for the Stuttgart Prosecutor's Office.

"He converted legal starter pistols to fire live ammunition, which were subsequently sold on the Internet," the spokeswoman was quoted as saying by Das Erste television.

The Islamic State jihadist group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
