MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow is the most interested side in the issue of Ukrainian crisis settlement not receding into the background, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday.
"There is a very widespread concept today that the Syrian developments are high on the agenda, while everyone forgets about Ukraine. And first of all, it is what Russia is allegedly interested in. I want to tell you that every week, regardless of the presence of journalists' questions, we specifically put the Ukrainian issue on the agenda for discussion," Zakharova said in an interview published on the Vesti TV program’s website.
"We are more interested than others for many reasons in settling the issue and not leaving it in the conflict phase," she said. "The contact group, which includes a Russian representative, has been working [on the issue] almost daily."
