The upper house of the French Parliament, the Senate, unanimously voted on Friday to extend the state of emergency in the country for three months following the recent deadly terror attacks in Paris.

PARIS (Sputnik) — Some 348 senators took part in the voting for relevant amendments to the legislation, with 336 ballots in favor and no 'against' votes.

The state of emergency was introduced in France by a Cabinet of Ministers decision following the request of President Francois Hollande immediately after the November 13 attacks that killed at least 130 people and injured over 350.
