MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the survey carried out by the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP) for the French broadcaster RTL and Le Figaro, 84 percent of respondents agreed to accept more controls and limit their freedom to some extent to ensure safety.
According to the poll, 98 percent of French citizens evaluated terrorist threat in the country as high. In comparison, soon after the January attacks on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo 93 percent of similar poll’s respondents classified the terrorist threat as high.
On November 13, extremists wearing explosive belts and carrying automatic weapons attacked several sites across Paris, killing some 130 and injuring hundreds of people at restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall and in the vicinity of the Stade de France sports arena.
