MOSCOW (Sputnik), Svetlana Alexandrova – Earlier in the day, a poll conducted by the UK-based Populus research and strategy consultancy exclusively for Sputnik revealed that 42 percent of Western Europeans opposed letting refugees into their country with 62 percent of respondents in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Poland against accepting refugees.
"This research reflects clearly the will of the majority of Europeans who are opposed to the migration experiment, which changes the structure of the European population. We can clearly see that the citizens have a greater understanding of what is happening rather than political elites. This means some members of the political elites in Europe are under the influence of the United States on account of which the crisis began," Bosko Obradovic said.
According to Obradovic, the US idea of creating a homogeneous society within Europe by admitting thousands of migrants will eventually result in a deadlock within the 28-member bloc.
"Western Europe is still a hostage of the false ideology that erases the national identity and sovereignty of European nations and states. Moreover, a ‘melting pot’ based on the US model is being created in the European Union. It is a crucial European issue today, whether Europe is able to get away from the US influence and start taking European interests into account above all. I believe that this process will start first among the citizens and only then among the elites," Obradovic stressed.
