KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukraine could bring up the issue of sending peacekeepers to its conflict-torn Donbass region at the UN General Assembly in New York, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Tuesday.
"The relevance of peacekeepers remains, this issue has not lost its relevance, and I do not exclude that we will discuss it in New York during bilateral meetings," Poroshenko told reporters following a meeting of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council with the participation of NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.
