MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Two men have been arrested in Birmingham, western central England, on suspicion of distributing an extremist publication, West Midlands Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The action, taken by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit, was pre-planned and intelligence led and relates to the supply of a suspected ideological text-not an operational manual, such as bomb making instructions," the police said in a statement.
According to law enforcement, both men were 18 and arrested at their home addresses.
The West Midlands police have recently arrested several people in the city of Birmingham on terror charges.
Last week, a 30-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of preparing to leave from Birmingham airport for Syria with her three children.
In June, law enforcement arrested three people on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offenses.
