MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The incident took place on Monday afternoon in a cemetery in the town of Labry in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department of the region Lorraine, the statement published on the ministry's website confirms.
This is the fifth desecration of a cemetery in the department since the beginning of 2015, according to the ministry. Crosses and headstones on the graves were broken.
Minister of the Interior Bernard Cazeneuve strongly condemned the desecration and promised a prompt response from law enforcement.
