ATHENS (Sputnik) – Theodore Savvaidis’ house was damaged from a powerful explosion that rocked his courtyard at a little before midnight, according to the Proto Thema weekly.
Savvaidis himself was left uninjured and there were no reports of casualties.
The publication cited initial reports claiming two people aboard a van passing the front of Savvaidis’ house had thrown the explosive device.
This is the second attempted attack on the businessman who deals in liquid fuel. Previously, Savvaidis was seriously wounded by home invaders in 2013.
Police, who launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, classified the neighborhood as “high risk” due to the residence of National Defense Minister Panos Kammenos nearby.
